The Maybach GLS may be luxurious and dynamic, but not enough to match these some people's opulent lifestyle. Thats where Mansory comes in.
Mercedes-Maybach's ultra-luxurious vehicles are essentially a social status symbol for the super-rich. Those who have the money ride on Mercedes-Benz, but those with lots of money sit on Maybachs. Often spotted traveling the streets of the world's most influential cities, Maybachs are also the vehicles for prominent people, such as celebrities and politicians.
Maybach's vehicles set themselves apart from other luxury vehicles with their gorgeous exteriors, plush interiors and powerful engines.
The Maybach GLS is one of the more utilitarian models of the Maybach – it is luxurious and offers a little more space for passengers’ larger cargo. Nevertheless, the Maybach GLS may be luxurious and dynamic, but not enough to match these some people's opulent lifestyle.
For those who want more, Mansory offers a Maybach GLS on steroids. More powerful and more dynamic-looking, the Maybach GLS by Mansory is a worthy opulent option. With its carbon fiber body and healthy power boost, this Mansory creation deserves checking out.
Just a month after starting production of the standard GLS in October 2019, Mercedes introduced the Maybach GLS in November. After all, Mercedes based the Maybach GLS on the standard GLS, but with a number of distinct elements that make it an ultra-luxurious vehicle.
Serving as the heart of the GLS is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine delivering 550 hp of max output and 538 lb-ft of torque, with assistance from a 48-volt hybrid system for a crispier launch. This V8 allows the large luxury SUV to sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. A more powerful AMG GLS63 is available, which offer 603 hp of max output and a quicker sprint time.
As expected, the Maybach GLS is more about a palace-like interior than the exterior and powertrain. To offer a more opulent ride, the Maybach GLS comes with just two rows, instead of three. This allows the second-row passenger to sit in utmost comfort – huge legroom, and power-adjustable recliner seats with heat and massage functions. The cabin is also awash with Nappa leather and real wood trim.

Simply put, there are Maybach customers who aren’t satisfied with just a stock Maybach GLS. Good for them, Mansory is here to provide the difference, as implemented in three different areas – engine, exterior and interior.
Mansory wanted its GLS conversion to offer more oomph – even more than the loud and fantastic AMG GLS63. To achieve this, Mansory gave the Maybach GLS a healthy power boost. The aftermarket tuner installed a modified ECU unit for the engine management system and fitted new turbochargers and a new sports exhaust system with high-performance catalytic converters.
These upgrades increased the V8’s power output to 820 hp and torque to 722 lb-ft. This now allows the Maybach GLS by Mansory to sprint from nil to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and achieve a higher but still limited top speed of 186 mph.
Interestingly, Mansory ensured that the Maybach GLS conversion has the looks that match its boosted performance. This is why the aftermarket tuner installed a new body kit made of carbon fiber, a material that is both lightweight and durable. By Mansory's standards, this body kit is quite minimalistic, although almost every part of the body is either fully carbon or has carbon accents.
At the front, the Maybach GLS by Mansory has a new front apron with an integrated front lip and new LED daytime running lights. Mansory didn’t change the way the grille looks. Instead, they give customers the option of leaving it as is, making it darker, or giving it a carbon finish.
The sides of the tuned GLS get new skirts, while the rear section gets a new diffuser and a new bumper. The side mirrors now features new carbon fiber caps on them. Interestingly, the Maybach GLS by Mansory now features an available bull bar that protects the front and rear bumpers.
Completing the exterior looks of the Maybach GLS by Mansory are forged high gloss wheels type "V.6" in size 10x24".

Then there’s the luxurious interior of the Maybach GLS by Mansory. The aftermarket tuner made sure that passengers enjoy the opulence of the cabin by using only the best materials for various elements. These interior elements are one of the reasons Maybach GLS by Mansory is more than just a luxurious vehicle.
For instance, Mansory completely reupholstered the SUV in leather. Other opulent elements of the interior include a new leather-carbon sports steering wheel, carbon inlays, and leather inserts with 3D embossing in the seats and doors. As usual, there’s the carefully decorated lettering on the seat surfaces and floor mats.
All parts of this complete Mansory conversion -- both inside and out -- work together in a confidently stylish way to create a perfect harmony of luxury and power. With a carbon fiber body, full leather interior and a more powerful engine, the Maybach GLS by Mansory could match the highest lifestyle goals of its exceptional clients around the world.
