Thankfully, YouTube has many fantastic creators that make content on car modifications. These awesome people teach gearheads how to do certain tasks they might encounter during the entire car modification process and also show them completed projects to give them inspiration. Let's explore 10 must-watch YouTube channels for car modification enthusiasts.

Most gearheads have at least heard of rally driver Ken Block. Block wasn't a huge success as a professional rally driver, but his stunt work after has turned him into a legend.

Block now builds high-performance custom cars and pushes them to the limit for his YouTube Gymkhana series, which he shares on the Hoonigan channel. Over the years, many incredible custom cars have been featured on the Hoonigan channel, including the outrageous 1,400-hp Hoonicorn Mustang.

In 2016, Rich Benoit and his friend Carl Hewitt established Rich Rebuilds – a YouTube channel focused on building custom cars and giving beat-down cars a new life. As Benoit's influence grew, he became one of the biggest critics of Tesla's repair policies, as he couldn't get parts to repair his Model S.

After many failed attempts to get the spare parts from Tesla, Benoit decided to get rid of the problematic electric drivetrain in his Model S and replace it with a GM V8 engine. This ended up being one of Benoit's greatest decisions, as it earned it a ton of publicity and even got his build – dubbed the V8 Tesla – to the 2021 SEMA Show.

Throtl is a California-based business that aims to be the one-stop shop for all car modification needs. Throtl aims to make the parts-buying process easy, fun, and affordable for gearheads so that they can build the car of their dreams easily.

One key marketing strategy employed by Throtl is its YouTube channel. Through the channel, Throttle shows potential customers how its parts can be used to transform any car into a beast. One of the recent projects the Throtl channel has completed is the first Hellcat Redeye-swapped Viper in the world.

Officially Gassed is a UK-based channel founded in 2018. The channel has all kinds of automotive content, but the videos with the most views typically involve modified car reviews and drag races featuring modified cars.

One of the best videos ever posted on the Officially Gassed channel involved a drag race between two JDM icons – a 900-hp Toyota Supra Mk4 versus an 800-hp Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R.

Mighty Car Mods is a popular channel created in 2007 by Blair Joscelyn a.k.a MOOG and Martin Mulholland. The channel is centered around the whole process of buying, modifying, and then battling or testing cars of different levels of modification budgets.

MCM's first video (How to pimp your car for $500) premiered in 2008 and showed gearheads how to perform basic upgrades and modifications on MOOG's Daihatsu Cuore. The channel has grown massively since and now has almost 4 million subscribers, largely thanks to the hosts' relatable nature as everyman car enthusiasts, not to mention their humorous nature.

We've covered Richard Rawlings and the cars he builds many times before. Rawlings was the star of Fast N' Loud – a Discovery Channel reality TV show which featured Rawlings finding old beaters and restoring them for profit.

If you watched a lot of TV in the 2000s, you probably were a fan of MTV's Pimp My Ride show. In the show, the host – played by rapper Xzibit – would go around the country searching for fan cars that needed some love, taking them to the West Coast Customs shop and customizing them for free on behalf of the fan.
