The GLE SUV and Coupe models will have the new edition features, which will range from new wheels to special trim.

The year 2022 is a special year for AMG. It marks 55 years since the foundation of AMG, and of course, the brand is now synonymous with Mercedes and the Mercedes-AMG partnership. Neither company has wanted this special anniversary to go unnoticed. So to mark the occasion, Mercedes-AMG has launched the new GLE “Edition 55” with six special models limited to 55 examples.

These new models are available to order from now until December 2022. The special features are exclusive to the GLE SUV and GLE Coupe Edition 55 versions. The color selection for the new vehicle includes the Obsidian Black metallic and the Manufaktur Diamond White Bright.

New 22-inch AMG forged wheels are part of the package, as are Carbon Matt Black specific trim parts as well.

The wheel hub covers are now adorned with “Edition 55” lettering, and a laurel wreath as well. The AMG Night Package is also an option for the Edition 55 with selected exterior elements finished in high-gloss black.

Step inside the Edition 55 and there is a wonderful contrast of black and red. This includes stainless-steel door sill trims with red illuminated AMG lettering, and black AMG floor mats. The Edition 55 is available in the United States for the GLE 53 and GLE 63 S.
