Porsche 911 Heritage Design Package Classic in Australia Car News Performance Prestige July 21, 2022 Home Car News Porsche 911 Heritage Design...
The exclusive Heritage Design Package Classic is now available for all Porsche 911s. We first saw Porsche’s Heritage Design on the new Targa 4S last year, but now the package has been made an optional extra for every new 911 model. Unlike the Targa 4S we drove with its exterior pseudo-racer graphics, the Heritage Design Package Classic option is reserved for the interior. The idea behind the package is for 911 customers to enjoy retro design touches from Porsche on the latest models. Many of the features are shared with this year’s new 911 Sport Classic – itself a nod to Porsche’s most popular cars. The brief for the Heritage Design was overseen by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur – the firm’s personalisation division. Inside the Heritage Design Package Classic, there’s two-tone black and cognac-colour leather or alternatively all-black. The fabric inserts on the seats and door cards are Pepita Houndstooth, which first appeared in the 911 model of 1965 – this design is only available with the Sport Seats Plus option rather than the standard versions. A silver ‘911’ plaque sits on the dash. The storage compartment’s leather lid on the centre console also has ‘Porsche Exclusive Manufactur’ embossed on it. The brushed aluminium surfaces on the door sills have ‘911’ lettering and the floor mats have a unique weave. For the driver, we see green digits on the instrument cluster and white needles – similar to the dials of the 356. The colour combination is also seen on the stopwatch on top of the dash – this can only be specified with the inclusion of the ‘Sport Chrono Package’.
