What The King said in an attempt to help. And how people are taking it.
Coronavirus remains a major source of worry for world leaders. Numbers keep rising and we are not even at the peak yet according to several authorities on the virus.
The Ooni of Ife seems to have an idea on how to combat the virus, though, as the paramount ruler of the Yoruba people has come out to list a number of traditional herbs and roots that could come in handy in this season
These claims are WRONG.
The Ooni is NOT a medical doctor or a virologist. This is abuse of office to mislead and misinform the public.
You will never hear the Queen of England, the Sultan of Brunei, the King of Saudi Arabia or the Emir of Abu Dhabi say such dangerous nonsense. https://t.co/8W9Wp5TQ4f

With health professionals and medical scientists scrambling to get an answer as quickly as possible, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi says these easily-obtained natural ingredients could be the home-grown “solution” to the pandemic.
Ooni is technically correct, the chloroquine everyone is parroting is gotten from a Quinine, Neem plants bark.
Garlic and other medicinal plants have antibiotics.
Quinine increases the pH of the lysosome in the cell.
While the antibiotics kill tthe opportunistic bacteria. https://t.co/2iA3z9BJ3G

He listed the following potent herbs that will help:
1. Boundary Tree (Ewe akoko)
2. Nim tree or Indian lilac (Dogoyaro)
3. Onions (Alubosa)
4. Forest anchomanes/Blume (Ogirisako)
5. Aridan fruit (Aridan)
6. African pepper/Guinea pepper (Eeru or Erinje)
7. Bitter leaf (Ewuro)
8. Sulfur (Iyin ojo)
If the Ooni of Ife says he has a possible HERBAL cure for the Coronavirus, government should investigate the claim scientifically. There is no need to insult him or call for his arrest. We haven’t arrested people diagnosing “spiritual attack” or those claiming to perform miracles
